First Connection Setup
Setting up Screen Mirror is like Setting up Hardware. There are many steps, requiring you to give bluetooth, camera and microphone permission, and plug in the iPhone/iPad over USB multiple times. Key Requirements:
Establish Trust between the Mac and the iPhone/iPad. You cannot use Screen Mirror till trust is established. This is an Apple requirement when you connect to the iPhone/iPad or Mac through USB. More details on the apple website: https://support.apple.com/109054
A good USB cable, preferably the one that came with your iPhone or iPad. More details on this requirement.
If you run into issues, check out the Support Page, or reach out to me at tools@toolbunch.com.
If this is the first time that you have connected the iPhone to the Mac you will get a message on the iPhone (or iPad) asking you if you trust the Mac.
Once you have trusted the Mac, unplug the USB cable and plug it in again. If you have previously connected the iPhone to the Mac you will not get this message.
Sometimes you will get a message on the Mac asking you to install support for the iPhone. This is a Mac driver update, not related to my App.
Unplug and replug the iPhone to move to the next step.
See Setup Instructions Video for more details
Camera Permission
When Screen Mirror detects the iPhone or iPad connected for the first time, it asks for Camera Permission. The iPhone connects to the Mac as a Camera.
If this permission is not given Screen Mirror will not be able to display the iPhone/iPad Screen.
If you would like to hear audio from the connected iPhone give the microphone permission.
If you are using Headphones with your Mac, the audio from the iPhone or iPad will be audible on the headphones.
If you do not give the Microphone permission audio will play on the connected iPhone or iPad.
You can now see the iPhone screen on the Mac. If you unplug the iPhone the window will automatically close.
You can move and resize the position of the window, Screen mirror remembers the last position.
Put the phone in landscape mode, viewing youtube or a game, and you can resize the window to use the full Mac screen. Screen mirror will remember the last Landscape position too.

Keyboard and Mouse Setup
Go to the bluetooth settings screen on the iPhone or iPad. This is available in:
Settings | Bluetooth
This is required so that the Mac can see the phone to connect to.
*Keyboard control is not available on MacOS Ventura
Click on the Pair Bluetooth button.
When you see your iPhone appear, click on the connect button.
You may need to wait for a long time till the iPhone appears in the display.
You may see a message indicating services are not available. You might also see the connection drop (device will show not connected). This is OK!
Once the connection is complete make sure that the correct iPhone is selected and press the select button.
This will complete the connection. The app will also connect with the iPhone/iPad. You can use the Keyboard.
See the setup video for details on how to setup mouse access with your iphone.
